A window into a traveling artists life.
THE BIG TRADE
This past winter while on a beach in Mexico, I was chatting with a woman from Manitoba and learned that she makes Mukluks of her own design and creation. Impressed I asked if she would make me a pair and wondered if she would take an art piece in trade. She said yes and told me she would like a Loon sign for her cabin at the lake. Happily I carved her a sign in trade for a pair of beautiful Mukluks!
BEAST 2020
COVID19 has certainly changed everything in spring 2020. Camping remains closed for people in British Columbia, but that does not mean I should not be preparing The Beast for painting trips, hopefully available in June. After every winter my traveling studio needs updates and repairs, it is all part of RV ownership. This spring it was a plumbing leak. I accept these challenges and often implement new ideas to make the studio even more functional.
MEXICO
Bright sunlight, smiling faces and the sound of surf. I love snow it's beautiful and fun to play in, but cold weather is not much fun, so it is off to Mexico I go. My small coastal town in Mexico is nice, warm and very friendly. A destination for explorers, foodies and those who love to relax and have a good time with people from all over who have come to holiday. For me Mexico is not a violent place but a country I see as a developing world country.
